Thomason is a contributing author to a number of gaming magazines, and is also the author of a number of other books about gambling strategies. An interesting side-note is that this book was illustrated by Frank Scoblete, also a regular contributor to a number of gambling magazines as well.
Here is the basic premise of Twenty-First Century Blackjack: this is a book that is trying to sell another blackjack system. This book is trying to sell the system known as "progressive betting." The system is one where the bet is increased after a win, decreased after a loss. This type of system has been around for a long time, and has been a point of contention for gamblers for the same amount of time. Most statisticians claim that the system is flawed, yet there are some gamblers that adhere to it with a vengeance.
The book runs around $13 for a new copy, and you can find a used edition for $8 or so. The language is fairly simple to read, and if you like the idea of progressive betting than give it a shot. The main drawback is that the lengthy description can get a bit boring after a few chapters, so grab a coffee or an energy drink if you want to read this book at length.
