If you know nothing about taxes on gambling this is a solid introduction to the subject of record keeping and the potential impact of alternate minimum tax. If you are a "professional gambler" there is probably very little here that you don't already know. There is a brief discussion of the pros and cons of professional versus recreational gambling, and it is mentioned that you need to file a Schedule C, and also to establish yourself as a business you need to meet standard IRS requirements.
