Blackjack Wisdom
Blackjack Wisdom is an anthology of articles written by Arnold Snyder for a number of venues, and was published in 1997. Almost anyone with a background in blackjack knows who Arnold Snyder is, and his wit and charm are not lost in this compilation. The best thing about this book is the fact that the articles are ones which were written for less well-known publications, so even if you read Snyder's usual work there are some items with which you may not be totally familiar.
If you're a beginning player looking to learn the game of blackjack, this is not a book for you. Wait until you know the game and then pick up this book and chuckle at Snyder's observations about the blackjack world in general. This is a book for people that know the game at least a little bit. It doesn't include a winning system guaranteed to make millions in under a year. What is does include are articles on a multitude of blackjack-related topics.
As is the case with any anthology of previously published work, the ideas in this book have been seen elsewhere by now. There isn't anything completely revolutionary in this book. Also, it has the tendency to be fairly fickle, jumping around from one topic to another. If you're looking for a book to read in your spare time and you enjoy the game of blackjack, this is a very solid read and definitely worth the price, which can be anywhere from $17 for a new copy and $4 for a used edition.
