Casino Kid 2 Review
Sofel, the same company that brought you the horrific Casino Kid thought that one installment simply couldn’t satiate your thirst for ridiculous casino simulation. With that in mind, let us look at the second in a two-part epic, Casino Kid 2.
The kid has grown since he won the world tournament in Casino Kid, and his world has grown as well. In the previous game, the kid was restricted to the most annoying casino to ever be imagined or programmed. In Casino Kid 2, however, you are given the freedom to select your opponents via a world map.
As far as Nintendo cartridges are concerned, any game that has a world map is usually inundated with ethnic stereotypes, and Casino Kid 2 is no exception. Your Russian foe sports both a huge fur cap and grizzled beard, while your British opponent comes complete with monocle. Not quite as bad as the characters of Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out, but worth a giggle.
Casino Kid 2 has also added a new game; now, in addition to poker and blackjack, you can also play roulette. Basically, here is the rundown of the game. If you’ve never played a casino game before, it’s a good tutor. If you like the aforementioned games, you’re better off to find something more up-to-date and realistic. As with the first Casino Kid, this game is great for a laugh, but not-quite good enough for a true gambling experience. Not only is it not extremely fun, it is unusually difficult to find for a reasonable price. Let this one go.
