Whitney Phoenix
Vermont really isn't famous for that much. After the discussion has gone beyond things that can be poured on pancakes or French toast than the topics that would be relevant to anything Vermont has to offer have just been exhausted. Fortunately for Las Vegas, the one thing they did have to offer besides breakfast toppings found its way to Nevada.
Whitney Phoenix is an immensely talented musician. This is not something that just happened though. Phoenix has been studying the piano and music theory since he was eight years old. As he got older he could have easily sacrificed his talent on the altar of rock and roll for some quick, fleeting fame and groupies, but instead he stayed true to his first love, Classical music.
As he learned his craft, he put in roughly the same number of hours practicing the piano per week that most people put in at work. His effort paid off and he was admitted into the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio. Once he had finished his studies there he served his country in the Marine Corps where he was an instructor at the Armed Forces School of Music. It was here that he learned to appreciate other forms of music such as jazz, big band, R&B and pop music.
Whitney has been in Vegas since 1993. He has entertained audiences at Caesar's Palace, Imperial Palace, MGM Grand, and is currently featured at Bellagio.
Whitney occasionally employs the considerable vocal talents of his wife, Marianne in his performances. Both have performed to rave reviews.
