Senator Jon Kyl in Support of Legalizing Online Gambling

Arizona Republican Senator John Kyl has been heard to say that the U.S. Senate should vote to clarify gambling laws in the opposite direction suggested by the current bill on the decision table. The bill, which has already passed the other half of Congress, the US House of Representatives, would outlaw online gambling in online poker rooms and online casinos if operated within the US. Kyl and others see the enormous revenue potential that would come from legalizing and regulating the online gambling industry. Starting August 4th the Senate will be on a month-long vacation and after it returns, according to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, the gambling bill will not be among the top priorities. It looks like the decision in its finality will be sometime to come.
