According to the organizations who keep close tabs on the numbers of problem gamblers in America, the summer is a prime time for gambling problems to intensify or appear for the first time among the nation's youth. As young people are more prone to becoming problem gamblers than adults, and as the summer days bring with them a certain restlessness that comes from being out of school, the combination, parents are warned, can be a volatile one. Some who are against online gambling compare it to crack cocaine, saying how easy it is to get hooked, with none of the tell tale signs that are common to addicts to help stop a problem before it gets out of hand.
