Prison is supposed to be a place not only for criminals to pay back their debt to society, but also a place of rehabilitation. When 42-year-old Jeffery Schlepp was let out after serving time for a felony theft conviction from 2003, one would think Schlepp would stick to the straight and narrow path. Unfortunately, he chose to rob a casino in Billings, taking a little over nine hundred dollars from Sams Place, brandishing a short shotgun and threatening to kill anyone watching him leave.
He has recently been sentenced to 17 years in a Federal prison for his crimes, and his getaway driver accomplice, Hope Rathburn, will serve two and a half years in prison after she entered her guilty plea.
