Casino Advertising Plan Focuses on Health Care

In Rhode Island the new television commercial is airing, and it may be a little confusing as to whether or not it is about building a casino, or providing health care for native Indian tribe. The Narragansett Indian Tribe along with the World Series of Poker owners, Las Vegas-based Harrah's Entertainment, have joined forces to produce this commercial that suggests that money from the casino will be used to help fund a health care clinic for the Indian Tribe. This commercial hopes to gather support for a vote on the casino, which a federal judge recently said could happen. The judge said that Rhode Islanders can vote in November for a constitutional amendment which would allow the casino to open.
